I broke my "I don't like to have a lot of appliances and kitchen stuff" rule and bought a George Foreman grill. It is a little one and it was only a few dollars at the thrift store, so if it isn't worth the bother, it is going back in the donation pile.
There is a grand total of two ingredients for this recipe
has whole pineapple on sale this week for .79. When I went, they were
out of fresh pineapple and I was really in the mood for this recipe, so I bought
grill or frying pan to medium heat.
(If using canned pineapple,
drain the juice and rinse of the pineapple) If using fresh, slice the pineapple into rings.
Sprinkle cinnamon on both sides of the rings. (Add
cinnamon to taste)
Place pineapple in the pan and cook for
3-4 minutes, flipping once or place on the George Forman grill, close
the lid and cook for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. Serve warm.
This is a great side dish for less than a dollar!
