There is no admission fee to enter the park (Yay!) and there are a variety of ticket options. I love this because you don't have to pay the same price for people who are not interested in going on rides. If you go during the week, you can buy a Ride-All-Day ticket for unlimited rides. We really got our money's worth out of that! I can not even begin to count how many rides the kids went on. Also, If you purchase your tickets online, you can get a discount. There are a variety of pricing options available to suit your family. I bought a pack of tickets for myself to cover the few rides that the kids needed a parent to ride with them. The tickets don't expire, so I can save the ones that I didn't use for our trip next summer.
Parking is also free. They have a shuttle that takes you to the parking lot. I was very grateful for that option after walking around in the park for 7 hours.
I love the variety of rides at Knoebel's. There are a lot of options, but the biggest draw for us is the large number of rides for younger kids. There were so many choices for the kids and they could go on most of the rides themselves.
One of the memorable points of our trip was when my son knocked his loose tooth out on the Merry Mixer ride. I told my little daredevil that he needed to sit all the way back in the seat and he had just asked me "Why?"... when, to illustrate the reason why, he bumped his mouth on the ride's restraint bar. So, now he has a great story for The Tooth Fairy and I'm sure that he will sit all the way back on rides in the future.
There are lots of food choice options. There are some healthy choices, but you will mostly find indulgent-type food. "Mom, they have funnel cake!" When we went a few years ago, my daughter was thrilled that The Alamo restaurant had Spaghettio's. The menus are available online, so that is helpful if you need to pre-plan for allergies. For an amusement park, I thought the prices were pretty reasonable.
There are multiple picnic areas and there are no restrictions about bringing in your own food. We brought some food and drinks with us and supplemented with some junk food snacks. Hello, fried pickles :)
