I read an article a few months ago about gluten in lipsticks causing chapped lips. I switched to a gluten free diet earlier this year and it has made a huge difference in how I feel. I have tried everything else, so why not try gluten free lip stick?
I received these products in exchange for writing a review. All of the opinions are my own. I was a little concerned about what I would write if I didn't really like the product. Luckily, that was not an issue.
This is the product that I wanted to try the most. As I mentioned, my lips are chapped every day - no matter what the weather, how much water I drink, etc. - nothing has ever helped. The reviews on their website about the Rally Balm sounded promising, but what website would publish bad reviews?
The reviews were right! I LOVE THIS! My lips are finally not chapped! The difference is dramatic!
It felt nice when I first put it on, but so have other products, so I was still skeptical. The full results took about three days. Also, it wasn't like other lip balm products that feel nice for a little bit and then you have to keep reapplying. The results lasted throughout the day. I am very excited about the changes and I will absolutely be ordering this product again.
I don't know if the difference is because this product is gluten free, paraben free or because they made it out of rainbows and fairy dust. I really care either - I am just thrilled that it actually did what it said it would do!
I wanted to try a lip gloss as almost an after thought. I used to enjoy make-up, but I had lost interest after trying so many products that I didn't like and didn't do what they claimed.
I requested a pretty subtle lip gloss - Mint 2 Be lip gloss in Honey Badger.
Side note: the name makes me think of the video that floated around the internet for a while - "Honey Badger Don't Care" - and that made me giggle.
Anyway... I was very happy with this product too. It has a great minty smell. It smells like actual mint that you pick from your garden - not fake mint extract. I especially loved the consistency of it - i.e. when the wind blew, my hair didn't get stuck to my lips. I also used the lip gloss without out the Rally Balm under it, and my lips were still not chapped (yay!)
I have been using subtle colors for a long time because I had no interest in drawing any attention to my lips. Now that they are not a chapped up mess, I would like to have some fun with make-up again. I am looking forward to ordering some bolder colors.
