Week 3: I think that my skin is starting to get smoother - I'm not sure though, maybe I just really want it to work. The background redness of my face is starting to fade, but I still have the very red splotchy spots on my cheeks.
Week 4: My face is definitely smoother. It seems to not be reacting as much to my usual Rosacea triggers. My face is still splotchy.
Week 5: My face is definitely less reactive to triggers. I spent the afternoon outside in the heat and sun with the kids and my face did not breakout. The next morning, the redness that I had from that day was gone and I was back to my baseline. I think that the red splotches on my cheeks are fading.
Week 6: Got sunburned at the beach - that isn't good at anytime, but it REALLY isn't good when you are in the middle of trying out skin care products to reduce redness!! Duh!
I am watching my sunburn heal rapidly every day. I never broke out with acne from the sun as a Rosacea trigger. The rough, ruddiness also did not return.
Side note: the product information for Soothe said that it helps with the inflammation from sunburn, so I thought I would try that too. This I found impressive:
Overall, I am happy with the Soothe products and plan to keep using them. I would have loved to have seen results sooner, but I think that is just me being impatient. I see the redness in my face continuing to fade, so I'm curious to see what it looks like in 4 more weeks. The thing that I loved the most was how it calmed my skin down, so I didn't have multi-day flare ups from every little trigger.
I have seen impressive results on my friends who have tried their anti-aging products. I think I will try that next.
Have any of you tried this for Rosacea? How did it work for you?
