That reaction never gets old.
This meal is in heavy rotation in our house
because The Peanuts love it and it is really easy.
Sweet Potato Pierogies
Apples, peeled and chopped
Sausage, sliced approximately the same size as the apples
**Yellow onions are also a good addition to this recipe
The ingredient amounts are all to taste (and if I want leftovers)
1 box of pierogies
3 small-medium apples (I usually use galas, but any sturdy apple works well)
1/2 package of kielbasa
1-2 t of butter
2 t of dried sage
1 t of dried marjoram
Preheat oven to 400F (per package instructions)
Butter oven safe dish. Add pierogies and turn them to get butter on both sides. Add the apples, sausage and spices. Stir to combine.
